After miscarriage when did you start your period?

I had a very early miscarriage. I found out I was pregnant, and three days later lost the baby. We have a little boy who is 2, and I was on birthcontrol(about to get off) when I got pregnant the second time. Since then I got off the birthcontrol and we are trying again. Doctors say its ok to start right away for how early it was. So my question is when did you start your period after your MC? Its been 5.5 weeks and nothing yet. I have had very sore sensitive , and light cramps for about a week now, I have taken a couple tests and unless under my wanna be pregnant microscope, they are negative. It is driving me nuts and consuming me terribly.
